| Ocean Discovery Specialty Diver Attention: All Certified Junior Open Water Divers and Teen Divers What do we do now, we are certified PADI Junior Open Water? Do you want to dive with Mom and Dad….not really! NEW this year for Curacao Kids Sea Camp is the Ocean Discovery Specialty Diver program. Great new program for our certified kid divers! This week of activities is specially designed for our newly certified Junior Open Water divers. If you thought once you were certified there was nothing else fun and exciting to do…think again, this is going to be something your parents will beg to join. The week begins with a dive in Curacao Sea Aquarium’s Animal Encounters lagoon to get to know the sharks, turtles, and string rays personally. During the week there is fun, education, and of course diving. Get fishy underwater kisses from our Sea Lion during your open water Sea Lion dive. Learn the names of all those wonderful fish you see underwater. Now instead of saying, “I saw this cool fish, it was black swimming weird with it’s top fin and bottom, I don’t know it names.” After learning all about fish from a marine biologist at the Curacao Sea Aquarium, you will be able to wow your parents with the name of that fish they describe as a Black Durgeon. Plus the best part….the dive that follows. You won’t believe the amount of fish you see now that you know the names of them. Along with fish you will become a Coral Reef Ecology expert or at least learn enough to dazzle your parents and sibling with your knowledge. No trip would be complete without some great photos to remember it by. Now that you know the names of the fish, time to learn to take amazing pictures of them, but just remember fish don’t pose like people do…so learn techniques and tricks for taking great underwater photos during your Underwater Photography lessons and then practice with two photo dives. Who wants to know what it is like studying fish or the coral reef, like a real marine biologist? Never going to know until you try it yourself, kids will assist with going research at the Curacao Sea Aquarium, by diving and snorkeling. Don’t forget the Dolphins too. Get up close and personal with our Bottlenose Dolphins with a Dolphin Encounter and see the newest addition to the family, baby Papito, born September 5th 2004. This also includes the Pizza/Movie night. All dive gear for the week is included. Then Family Day at Porto Marie beach is time to dive with your parents and show off a little bit.
