New Location for Kids Sea Camp 2004

Cayman Islands Kids Sea Camp 2004. The two-session event sponsored by DiveTech and Cobalt Coast Resort & Suites commences July 31st - August 7th and again, August 7th- 14th, 2004 in Grand Cayman.The camp mixes all the excitement of Cayman watersports with unique lessons and activities.

Geared for kids ages 4-14, the campers opportunities are endless. PADI Diving Society membership, a treasure hunt featuring plenty of scuba gear prizes, trips to Stingray City, a Nautilus sub ride, turtle farm tour, pizza and movie nights and a beach BBQ party are just some of the events on the camps agenda. While children are enjoying their loaded schedule, parents plans for the day are strictly up to them. Family dining, after a full day of activities, will be alive with intriguing conversations about the day's events.

3rd ANNUAL CURACAO KIDS SEA CAMP HUGE SUCCESS
The Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao hosted another successful Kid Sea Camp. This year there were over 230 participants including 99 kids over a 3 week span. All Children enjoyed a fun filled week, learning about and swimming with dolphins at Curacao Dolphin Academy. 4 to 8 year olds also learned to snorkel and SASY, 8 to 11 year olds became PADI Seal Team members and even experienced a real salt water mission with all the fish. It was hard to tell who was the proudest, our newly certified Jr. Open Water divers or their beaming parents as they made a graduation dive together. Families enjoyed a trip to the local Ostrich Farm, a Bonfire at Kontiki Beach along with an incredible Ocean Front Beach BBQ at Lions Dive Beach. One Texan family said it was the best BBQ they have had outside of Texas. Kids Camp Parents enjoyed Daily 2-tank dives and a night dive on their own private boats with Ocean Encounters. Non Diving Parents enjoyed the many topside activities Curacao has to offer, such as superb shopping, white sand beaches, world famous museums and art galleries as well as nature hikes or just relaxing with a private massage at their villa.

Night Time was filled with live music and Bon Fires and a Pizza Movie night for the kids with a night tour of the aquarium that let them see all the little critters that come out at night that mom and dad would experience on their night dive.

Accommodations were provided by the Royal Resort Sea Aquarium Resort, Luxury 1 and 2 bedroom Ocean Front Condos as well as Lions Dive and Beach Resort.

Kids experienced special guest artists, Carey Chen of Carey Chen Collections whom collaborated one painting with the children and donated another beautiful reef scene to the camp facilities. All Kids Sea Camp Families were presented with a hand signed Happy Hour Dolphin Print compliments of Carey Chen. A special Thanks to Sport Diver Magazine and the Sport Diver Families that helped host each week, making this a fun personalized experience for all the attendees.

Kids and families were honored to meet author and professional photographer, Donald Tipton, Writer and photographer, Michelle Westmorland as well as photographer and cetacean specialist extraordinaire, Capt. Tom Conlin. Each child and adult was presented with numerous gifts from PADI Diving Society and Sport Diver Magazine including T-shirts, hats, tote bags and toys. Scuba Pro presented over 60 wet suits and Fins, Mask and Snorkel sets to children as well as four Sea Life Underwater Cameras given as the grand prize to the children that found the most gold coins each week. Curacao Department of Tourism sponsored T-shirts for each child. Anything you could think of was covered during this event, even the kids, with Caribbean Kidz Sun Block.

Sea Camp is an annual event that combines education, safety and family fun into an experience of a lifetime. Margo Peyton, Scuba Mom personally hosts all weeks with her own children Robbie age 8 and Jennifer Age 6. Combining her skills as a mother and a travel specialist has allowed her to create a complete program based on her personal experience. Kids Sea Camp is truly a vacation for all family members to share together and with each member experiencing their very own kind of fun.
